Galen’s legal practice is informed by his experiences as an Entrepreneur, R&D Engineer, and Biostatistician. Galen’s interdisciplinary background helps to develop meaningful and insightful relationships between and with all of his clients. As a transactional attorney Galen aims to act as both a leader and team member to facilitate successful outcomes for clients in a variety of legal fields.
As a Colorado Patent Attorney, Galen’s practice is focused on Small Business and Entrepreneurship law, an IP suite of services including Copyright, Trademark, patent prosecution, and strategy. Galen has drafted patents in the fields of chemical and process engineering, electrical arts, medical devices, and consumer products.
Before entering the field of law Galen worked as a polymer process engineer and technologist focused on consumer outdoor products and later as a biostatistician for a medical research startup. These roles helped to develop Galen’s approach to small business and entrepreneurial law, where he advises founders and directors on the proper alignment of incentives and protection of intellectual property assets.
Galen is an avid rock climber, trail runner, surfer, and photographer, who enjoys adventures with his wife and their Australian shepherd.
